About Me
I'm Tony and I'm Ann's husband. Ann was diagnosed with breast-cancer earlier this year. This blog is supposed to keep you up to date on what's going on with us. Please note, that everything I share with you is from my perspective, not Ann's. This is important to understand as you read my blog and browse through my website. Before you start reading my blog, you may want to read our breast-cancer story first
The whole intention of this website is to provide insight and - in best case - support to relatives of women who had been diagnosed with breast-cancer.

And as for my day: I had the CT-S... ? Continue reading ...
Chemo is not for us!
We went to see Dr. Simone today. The discussion was a little different from what we expected, however, in retrospect, still was extremely helpful to us. Dr. Simone strongly advised us to consider taking Tamoxifen. According to his studies and the data he has gathered, it will buy us a 25% insurance policy. But what does that mean? Well, given Ann's kind of breast cancer (Grade III, ER-/PR-), which is on the more aggressive side, the risk of local reoccurrence is 35% if she chose not do unde... Continue reading ...
Do I see it too lightly?
Ann has an appointment with Dr. Simone on Wednesday to discuss the next steps regarding her breast cancer treatments. Since next week will be short anyway because of Monday being off for Labor Day, we initially said that I won't accompany her. Especially since I'm getting close to implement a very important project at work and time is getting tight. However, today Ann asked me if there would be a chance if I could come with her anyway. What really surprised me was the way I reacted. I tol... Continue reading ...
